Photographers will love the picturesque village of Cley-next-the-Sea, which is one of the most unspoilt, tranquil and truly beautiful spots on the whole North Norfolk coast. Despite not being on the Broads network, if you want to take a break from your boat and take a trip to the beach, it’s easy to take a train or bus north to Sheringham, where you can either walk the six miles to Cley through beautiful countryside, or take a handy bus.
Despite the name, Cley itself is not actually next to the sea – land reclamation, which has successfully protected the landscape from erosion, has also meant that the village is now an inland settlement.
